The diet of the largemouth bass changes throughout it’s life. It starts off eating zooplankton, grass shrimp and crayfish. As they get bigger they start eating insects and small fish. By adulthood, their diet is pretty diverse and they can even eat frogs, salamanders, snakes, and birds.
The largemouth bass diet mainly consists of bluegill, shad, shiners, and other minnow species, small catfish.
