Magma is a mixture of molten rock, volatiles and solids.  It can contain other suspended crystals and disolved gases as well.  It is found beneath the surface of the Earth and possibly other planets like the Earth (terrestrial planets).  Temperatures of most magma range from 1300 F to 2400F.
