What is the longest volcanic eruption in history?

It’s very hard to determine that because some volcanoes erupt for years at a time. For example, the Stromboli Volcano in Italy has been erupting for more than a thousand years. The term Strombolian eruption, which means a mild to moderate flow of ash and sometimes lava on a continuous or frequent basis, was named after that volcano, as well as the food.
