A lot will depend upon the terms of reference and parameters imposed.  A lot of long bicycle trips are interrupted at some point by transportaion to cross oceans and other obsticles. In the colonial period of the last century someone supposedly circumnagated Africa — that would be a long distance.  People have ridden from Alaska to the southern tip of South America.  There are people who have wondered the planet for a decade by bike — but periodically interrupted the travel to make a little money along the way or to fly someplace and back.  Good luck sorting out the competing claims.
