What is the link between climate change and ocean acidity?

    The ocean absorbs carbon dioxide in the form of carbonic acid. This releases hydrogen ions into the ocean, lowering the pH. Here is a link to a picture on how it works.

    The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) just released a report on how ocean acidification. The IPCC is the foremost expert on climate change, and I highly recommend reading their findings.
