The “Darker Side of Green” campaign is a marketing initiative by Lexus to promote its hybrid car models. In addition to an attempt to make the green movement seem a bit “cooler” by fabricating a sort of faux counterculture, Lexus is hosting a series of debates around the country between green advocates and prominent anti-green skeptics. These are often packaged with musical performances, celebrity appearances, cross promotions with other companies (Patron for example), and exhibitions of their newest lines.
