Broadleaf trees (basically any deciduous tree with broad, flat leaves–birch, sycamore, maple, aspen, elder, cottonwood, etc) are known as mid-latitude trees and are found just about anywhere (climate permitting) from 50 degrees north to 50 degrees south.
