The largest, in terms of damage, occurred in Fort Worth, TX in May of 1995. The storm caused over $2 billion in damage via hail that occurred as a part of the supercell over Fort Worth. Flooding closed hospitals, and lightning actually struck and killed a boy at a birthday party.
