The Lion’s Mane jellyfish is the largest species. It’s bell can reach a size up to 8 feet long and its tentacles can reach a length up to 100 feet long. Its venom is also fairly deadly. If it stung a human enough times, it would be deadly. Its tentacles can live for several months after being broken off from the body of the jelly fish, so you could still get stung later. The lone tentacles are actually more of a threat to swimmers than the jellyfish itself.
