    The largest species of iguana is the green iguana. A green iguana can be found in the United States. Althuogh, they are mostly found in northern Mexico, central America, the Caribbean islands and southern Brazil. They average to about 6.5 feet (2 meters) long and weighing to about 11 pounds (5 kilograms). They are popular pets, but hard to care for. They are mainly herbivores, and are quite active during the day.
