The largest blooming red flower is the Rafflesia arnoldii. It can grow  more than 3 feet across and can weigh 24 pounds or more. It has no roots, stem or leaves. The flower has the distinct smell of rotting meat which it can turn on and off at will.

Here is a photo of the Rafflesia arnoldii. It is a rare flower, grows only once a year, and blooms for about five days.
