The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean in the world. It covers approximately 60 million square miles, which is more than the entire land area on the earth and about 15 times the size of the US. Following the Pacific Ocean in size is the Atlantic, Indian, Southern, and Arctic.
It is outside my front door. The mighty Pacific, gentle (compared with the Atlantic) but never trust it. It can change in a moment and a storm can overtake you.
Beautiful, green, poisoned, bereft of so many species in the last 100 years that in comparison it is almost empty. Fished ruthlessly. The Cove is part of the Pacific. It needs nurturing. Stop eating fish please. There are lots of plants that can provide your Omega 3. Flax, for one.
Don’t eat fish, and perhaps the Pacific will have a fighting chance of recovering from our cruelty and stupidity.
