According to one source, Owen Falls in Uganda (Africa) is the world’s largest, boasting 45 trillion gallons of water. Other sources report that Lake Volta in Ghana is the largest by surface area and Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe is the largest by volume. Lake Volta and Lake Kariba are reservoirs, which may or may not be considered manmade lakes, depending on your definition.
