The largest LEED-certified building in Dubai is Dubai International Academic City, Phase 3, which is a university and research center. It’s nearly 600,000 square feet consisting of four academic buildings and a food court. It was certified LEED Silver in June 2009. The facility uses heat recovery wheels, recessed windows and enhanced insulation. It is expected to save over $620,000 per year in energy costs and is consistently ranked as one of the best LEED-certified installations in the Middle East.
