    The Academy of Sciences Museum Building is ranked as the largest LEED Platinum certified building in the world as of 2009.  It is located in San Francisco, CA and is also the most sustainable museum existing today.  The museum also possess a natural filtering system within the aquarium that resuses the water.  It also utilizes the light from the 200 skylights to develop the living rainforest and coral reef.

    The LRD Architects of Portland OR are designing a building for the ZhangJiang Semiconductor Park in China that, if built, will surpass the Academy Sciences building’s size with a floor covering an area equivalent to 17 football fields.
