    The Great Lakes. The Great Lakes, which include Michigan, Huron, Superior, Erie, and Ontario, are the largest lake system in North America. The water in these lakes are used for drinking water for millions of people who live in their surrounding areas. The largest of the lakes is Lake Superior.

    Although it is contaminated, the water from the Caspian Sea is still used for drinking water in Kazakhstan, causing high rates of tuberculosis and blood diseases.  The Caspian Sea is the largest enclosed body of water on Earth.
