Technically, the largest island nation in the world is Australia, at 7.6 million square kilometers.
Other than Australia though, which is sometimes called the “The Island Continent” and not always considered an island nation because it is also a continent, Greenland is the biggest island nation. Antarctica also does not count because beneath the ice sheet it is made up of a number of smaller land masses.
