The most deadly and most destructive hurricane to hit Mexico is Hurricane Pauline, which stuck in 1997. Landslides killed 250-400 people and 300,000 were left homelss. It cost about 7.5 billion dollars in damage. There is also Hurricane Kenna, a category 5 hurricane, which was the third most intense to ever strike Mexico’s west coast. Kenna occured in 2002 and it cost 101 million dollars in damages. The 1959 Mexico hurricane was also incredibly powerful, deadly, and destructive.
