The bone group of a supersaurus’s hip area was discovered in Colorado. This group of bones was 6 feet wide and 8 feet tall. The only other bones ever found of the supersaurus were bones from its neck, shoulders, and ribs.
Fossil ammonites on the order of 4.5-7.5 feet in diameter have been found in North America. If you want to count a forest as one fossil, there are several fossil forests, ranging from those in Ohio to petrified trees in growth position in Yellowstone Park. Individual trees in the Yellowstone petrified forests are on the order of 20 ft tall (max).
