There are 8 buildings in the US that can qualify as zero-energy or net zero buildings. They are all not that big, but the biggest is the Adam Joseph Lewis Center for Environmental Studies at Oberlin College in Ohio. It is 13 thousand square feet, so it’s large but pretty small by commercial building standards. It was built in 2000 and showed many advances in zero energy building.
