While it may not be the largest in size, the Tendring Reuse and Employment Enterprise (T.R.E.E.) beat out over twenty other finalists to win the 2009 reward for the best community recycling project of 2009. T.R.E.E. is certainly a sizable project as from November 2008 – November 2009, T.R.E.E. collected 8,999 pieces of reusable goods (749326.6 lbs!) to assist over 6,000 people in the community. In collecting these goods, an amazing 11,379,984 lbs of CO2 was reduced in one year.
