The Great Canyon of Yarlung Tsangpo is the largest canyon in the world, as deemed by the American Geography Committee. It is in Tibet on the southern end of the Himalayans. This area is very hard to get to, so few have been able to explore it. The canyon of the Colorado River is another very large canyon, once thought to perhaps be the largest.
The Grand Canyon of the Colorado was NOT carved by glaciers. From what I can determine the Yarlung Tsangpo River Canyon might in part have been initiated by glacial action, but generally speaking that canyon is a river-carved canyon, not a glacial one.
