    The largest breed of dog, by weight, is the English Mastiff.  They typically weigh between 150-200 pounds, but the largest one alive today is Zorba who weighs in at 343 lbs.  Zorba measures almost 8 feet long from nose to tail.  The tallest dog breed is the Irish Wolfhound which is 3 feet tall on average, at the shoulder.  Although, the Irish Wolfhound typically weighs in between 105-125 pounds.

    The Old English Mastiff  is the LARGEST breed of dog in the world .They can weigh anywhere from 110 pounds to the 343 pounds.  Zorba,an English mastiff ,held the world record of the world’s largest dog. Although most Mastiff males weigh around 160-230 pounds and females around 120-190 pounds. The height of a mastiff can range from 25 inches at the shoulder to 36 inches .The Irish Wolf Hound and Great Dane  can be taller then the mastiff , but  do not match the mastiff for weight and over all size .
