The largest an alligator will get on average is about 14.5 feet and weigh over 1,000 pounds.  Crocodiles are actually larger than alligators and can grow to be over 25 feet long and weigh more than a ton!  There is no single record of the largest alligator in a zoo and in fact the largest crocodiles and alligators ever discovered have not been in zoos.
