What kinds of wolves live in CA?

    There are no wolves in the wild in California, only some that are privately owned or in reserves. For instance, The California Wolf Center is home a few Mexican Gray Wolves and are attempting to bring them back from the edge of extinction.

    Wolves are native to Canada and Alaska, northern Europe, and Asia. They tend to live away from humans. Wolves live in packs of typically 8 or 9 individuals and occupy a territory of 20 to 1,000 square miles.
