What kinds of wolves live in CA?

The California Wolf Center is host to a few packs of gray wolves, as well as some Mexican wolves.  There are not truly wild wolves in California; while historically there were wolves in the area, the last wolf caught in the state was captured in 1924.  There are currently no plans to reintroduce wolves to California, although gray wolves from Idaho have migrated to Oregon and Washington and could, potentially, end up in California as well.
