It depends on why you want to prevent yourself from eating it. If you want to stay away from sushi that you make you sick, then it is best to stay away from sashimi, which is the actual “raw fish” sushi. Generally, it is safe to eat, but if prepared incorrectly, or uses old fish, then you have greater chances of getting ill. There also is, one specific kind of sushi, that is the most dangerous, called Fugu. The Fugu fish, is toxic if not prepared correctly, and is lethally poisonous and deadly.
