What kinds of sunscreen is organic?

There are a good variety of organic sunscreens out there (see the second link below for example). If your skin isn’t too sensitive for mineral sunscreens, going with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are good alternatives. You’ve probably seen those classic scenes of lifeguards with white cream on their noses. This is zinc oxide. There are a bunch of organic sunscreens for sale in the first link below, but they tend to be pretty pricey. If your skin is too sensitive for the mineral sunscreens, you can try Soleo Organics All Natural Sunscreen http://www.soleousa.com/# because they don’t contain titanium dioxide and are gentler on the skin.

I use Burt’s Bees chemical free sunscreen and I love it. Like other Burt’s Bees products, it is natural and really works. The sunscreen does not use octinoxate and oxybenzone, which are found in most regular sunscreens. Instead, it uses TiO2 which is a naturally occurring mineral and considered safe for children
