What kinds of soil are best for growing roses?

    Composting is highly recommended for growing rosebushes.  It improves the soil’s aeration and capacity to hold water.  Rose gardens prefer soil with a PH level between 6.5 and 6.8.  Roses require a high degree of nutrients to thrive.  See the links below for more details on ideal loam mixtures for growing roses.
