The Amazonia Science Gallery at the Smithsonian is a showcase of the research that goes on in other parts of the Smithsonian and zoo. At the Gallery they teach people about the kind of research that is going on through interactive exhibits, education centers and interaction between scientist and ordinary people. It is a way of teaching scientists how to communicate with and teach others, and also is a way to test which methods work best for communicating and teaching. They also aim to bring science to communities that might not typically have access to such knowledge, with a focus on the North American Hispanic community.
