The Mid West has amazing to develop renewable energy sources such as wind, solar power, and biofuels. Corn-based biofules are probably the renewable fuel that has developed most fully in this region so far; but there are a lot of questions about how sustainable ethanol biofuel from corn really is. That said, biofuels almost certainly have some place in our green energy economy, and the Mid West is a prime candidate area to experiment with growing more sustainable fuel crops. Wind and solar could also be implemented on a large scale in the Mid West. Though both these renewable power sources have made at least some inroads in the area, there is potential to develop them much more further in the Mid West.
