What kinds of problems will it cause if these polar bears and grizzly bears mingle?

As the grizzlies expand into polar bear territory, the competition for resources will likely become violent.  Grizzlies will attack female polar bears with cubs, and polar bears will attack dormant grizzlies.  Mating between the two species will likely occur, as it has in the past, causing a hybrid.  The offspring of these two bears will be fertile and functioning, at the expense of the polar bears unique identity as a species.  If they coexist, it is likely that polar bears as we know them will eventually fuse into a new species of grizzly bear.
