All plants ingest and process CO2 light and water to produce carbohydrate sugars and oxygen as a byproduct. Certain house plants such as the Boston Fern, English Ivy, Spider Plant, Chrysanthemums, Dwarf Date Palms and Areca Palms absorb and process chemicals such as Xylene, Benzene and Formaldehyde.
