What kinds of plants are found in taiga biomes?

    The taiga biome, located just under the tundra biome, is home to many forest plants such as coniferous trees with long waxy needles, which protect them from the extreme cold, such as the white spruce, douglas fir, and hemlock.  There are also some lichen and mosses.
