Just as some plants are adapted to desert climates and can live with very little water, there are a lot of plants adapted to very wet climates that need lots of water very often.
Plants native to marshes and swampy environments need more water than the average houseplant. Such plants are marsh marigolds, ragged robin, yellow grove bamboo, and blue-eyed grass (pictured below):
Also, plants that prefer wet clay-like soil need lots of water. These include creeping mint, lady ferns, blue Danube, elephant ears, and primroses (pictured below).
