Moths are one of the favorite snacks of microbats.
A moth is an insect that is preyed upon by both larger insects as well as by mice, bats, birds, skunks, toads, and frogs. Larger insects that prey on moths include the following: spiders, parasitic flies, mantids, ants, and wasps. Moth caterpillars are not completely without defense, however. They can sometimes protect themselves by use of camouflage, flight, or by dropping “silk lines”.
