I couldn’t find a good timetable for all cats, but after looking up many animals in the feline family, it appears that lions and tigers take the longest to mature. Young tigers can leave their mothers at 17 to 24 months, while lions usually take an even two years. In each species, the time can sometimes be longer depending on the situation and gender. By contrast, people tend to wean domestic cats from their mothers at about eight weeks.
