What kind of pollution do ski resorts cause?

“Deforestation and intensified or unsustainable use of land
Construction of ski resort accommodation and facilities frequently requires clearing forested land. Coastal wetlands are often drained and filled due to lack of more suitable sites for construction of tourism facilities and infrastructure. These activities can cause severe disturbance and erosion of the local ecosystem, even destruction in the long term.”

There is also indirect pollution associated with ski resorts. Going skiing requires getting there and more often than not, this involves a somewhat lengthy car ride. There is a large amount off pollution resulting from thousands of cars driving to go skiing every winter day. While the ski resort is not directly responsible for this pollution resulting from skiers commuting to the mountain, they are indeed the cause.
