What kind of plastics are vitamin and prescription bottles made from?

Medicine and vitamin bottles are typically made from number 2 plastics, or HDPE (high density polyethylene) plastics. They can typically be recycled through many curbside recycling programs. You can almost always determine what kind of plastic something is by looking at the bottom of the container for a number inside of a recycling symbol. Then you can find which plastic the number corresponds to online, and even if centers near you recycle it. 🙂
