This depends on the type of seaweed, the nutritional content varies between the types but nonetheless seaweed is considered to be a healthy food with the exception of its high sodium levels. Seaweed contains good sources of “vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E (Alpha Tocopherol), Vitamin K, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid and Phosphorus, and a very good source of Riboflavin, Folate, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Copper and Manganese,” according to nutritiondata.com’s nutrition facts on  raw wakame seaweed.
