There is no consensus on what form of energy is considered the most sustainable. The first ones that come to mind are water, wind, and solar. However, water sources, particularly rivers, can dry up or become diverted. Wind power can be considered too inconsistent and unpredictable to be truly sustainable. Even solar power relies on significant amounts of sunshine, though of course the sun will always be there! The article below makes the interesting argument that the only truly sustainable form of energy is nuclear. Improved technology is making nuclear reactors less dependent on a constant source of uranium. Quite honestly, the answer you receive will change depending on the vested interest of the responder! And often what is considered the most sustainable today is not considered so tomorrow.
