If you’re referring to volatile organic compounds then there are a couple of things it can cause, that range from rather unimportant effects to severe effects. Short term exposure can cause eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches, nausea, vomiting, dizziness and asthma symptoms. Long term of high level VOC exposure has been linked to cancer, liver and kidney damage and central nervous system damage.
