What kind of feathers did American Indians use for their clothing?

    This depended on the region and tribe. The Plains Indian Tribes such as the Sioux used eagle feathers in their warbonnets. Woodland Indian headbands and clothing adornments were made with eagle, hawk, turkey, egret and crane feathers. Some native americans also used vulture and owl feathers.
