What kind of climate do cherry trees need to survive?

Cherry trees typically prefer a moist conditions. In this case, they also require adequate drainage. Cherry trees might be particular about the climate. They are hardy, so they can take a colder climate, but still grow quite well in full sunlight.

Cherry trees are very particular about their climate. Long hot summers and a late frost will not help growth. They also need a chilling out period during the winter.
