From what I have read about firetrucks, and there is a lot of information out there, there is nothing that keep fire trucks from burning outside of clever parking. Even though they are amazing tools for fighting fires, a firetruck isn’t actually particularly fire resistant itself. The only thing that seems to differ in keeping things a little cooler is that, “a fire truck cooling system allows for precooling of hot water from the vehicle engine prior to receipt of same by the vehicle radiator.” Either by using water from the on-board tank or the water from a pump once it is hooked up.
