The Kagu is a long-legged blue-greyish bird that lives in the dense mountain forests of New Caledonia, France. It lives on the ground and can grow to be about the size of a chicken. Its plumage is ash-grey and white colored – unusually bright for a bird of the forest floor. The Kagu is threatened with extinction.
