There are a number of chemicals in conventional makeups and cosmetic products which, when released into the air, as in the case of hairspray and perfumes, or washed off and down the drain, can cause air and water pollution. This is in addition to the raw materials and energy consumption required to make the product and ship it to stores before you even consume it. Furthermore, 89% of the ingredients found in personal care products have NOT been evaluated by the FDA or any other credible organization for safety. Check out the youtube link below.
