The average IQ scores falls around 100 with a standard deviation of 15 (normal range is 85 to 115). A score between 115 and 130 is considered mildy gifted and a score of 131 to 145 is considered highly gifted. However, IQ tests receive a great amount of criticism as not being a comprehensive testing for intelligence. In other words, it only shows a limited interpretation on what it means to be intelligent.
There are different types of intelligence that this test doesn’t measure. It doesn’t provide a full spectrum of an individual and can be viewed as bias.
