The Ionosphere is the layer of the Earth’s atmosphere that is ionized by solar radiation. This solar radiation is often times termed solar wind. The Ionosphere is also the part of the atmosphere in which many of our television, radio, and other communication devices bounce their waves off of. It is in the upper most part of the atmosphere (thermosphere). Without it, the suns radiation would be reaching the earth and there would be no life because of that radiation.
