what influences global warming the most in America?

The single largest contributor to global warming in the US and the world is the burning of coal for electricity generation and industry.  Eliminating the use of coal in this country would do more to curb global warming than anything else we can do.  Coal is used as a source of electricity in every state in the nation, although some rely on it more heavily than others.  Fortunately, environmental activist groups are attempting to confront the coal industry and close down coal plants all over the country; you can track what is happening with many of the nation’s existing coal plants at second link below.  This is a great time to get involved in efforts to shut down coal plants, and nothing could be more important to stopping global warming.
